Everyone should incorporate these self-care practices into their routine.
When it comes to style, the focus can often be just on the clothes. However, having great grooming practices is essential to everyone's style lexicon. Check-out my thoughts on the five grooming practices that can up-level your style.

Develop an A-1 Skincare Routine
Taking care of one's skin is always a good look and, while many women have embraced consistent skincare practices, it is only recently being embraced by men. However, there is no doubt that having a solid skincare routine can boost one's overall appearance. For me, it has taken several years to develop a skincare routine that works best for my skin-type and lifestyle. When putting together your skincare routine, it is important to consult with professionals such as dermatologists and estheticians to help determine what will work best for you, but generally its always good to invest in a good cleanser, a good toner, a good moisturizer and sunscreen.
Manicures and Pedicures Are Not Optional
Having healthy, clean nails are very important when it comes to great grooming. Fortunately, we are seeing more and more men joining the ladies in nail shops getting their fingers and toes touched up, and this is important. While people like a firm handshake, they aren't looking to leave the interaction with welts. Intimate partners don't tend to enjoy having their legs scratched up by rough feet while cuddling. And dirty nails, I've never heard anyone mention that characteristic as a turn-on. Long story short, get regular manicures and pedicures folx.
Get That Hair Right
A good haircut can take you a LONG WAY. A bad one can also take you a long way, just in the wrong direction. I live in New York City and I have had five barbers because it took me that many times to find someone who worked for me and my hair. When it comes to hair stylists and barbers, finding someone who knows how to cut or style your hair texture and make it work for the shape of your face and head is key. If you are having trouble identifying the right person for the job, an easy way to solve the problem is to consult a friend who has their hair game together, who also has a similar texture and/or style as you and simply go to their barber or stylist.
Teeth, Take Care of Them
OK, I have had an interesting journey when it comes to my teeth. Honestly, earlier in my adult life I tried to cut corners and use SmileDirectClub because it was faster and cheaper than other options. Meanwhile, I sit here a few years later and eight months into my Invisalign journey and I come to tell you that it would have saved me a lot of time and money if I had just gone this route in the first place. All of that to say, don't half-ass when it comes to your teeth. Get your cleanings, consult with your dental care team regarding straightening and whitening - it really does make a difference.
Don't Be Afraid of Scents
Smelling good is VERY important when it comes to your style game. We are often taught to dial-back our fragrances, and while I am not suggesting you smell like a cheap beauty supply store, I do think more often then not, adding on the fragrance is better than letting it lag. In addition, make sure to choose quality scents from reputable brands - smelling cheap is definitely not the way to go. Experiment with different brands and figure out a key brand or type of scent that works for you.
