The designer is putting his own spin on the brand's house codes.
Louis Vuitton still has not announced a new designer for its menswear line. As such, they invited fashion designer Colm Dillane of KidSuper to guest curate the brand’s fall 2023 menswear collection. As with most of the collections following the death of Virgil Abloh, it was not dissimilar to something Abloh might have shown on the runway himself (members of his creative team continue to work at the brand). Not only is this a testament to Abloh’s talent, but undoubtedly to the financial success of his products. While the show’s color scheme was neutral-heavy, bold, abstract prints were also featured throughout. Clothes and accessories covered in prints forming faces of different skin tones in leather and suede will undoubtedly be popular with clients. As is customary with Vuitton, accessories were striking, with the brand’s legendary keepalls coming in a variety of styles – contact your sales associate now if you are interested in the cream quilted “fur” version, it probably won’t sit on shelves for long.
